Visa Bulletin May 2017

April 11, 2017

The Department of State has just released the May 2017 Visa Bulletin, which reflects some movement forward in the EB2 and EB3 China numbers and no forward movement for India employment-based categories.  There is some backlog for EB3 All Other Countries, with no backlog for the EB2 All Other Countries.  For all countries, the EB1 category will be current.

We expect the USCIS will announce shortly whether applicants can rely on the Dates for Filing, or must follow the Application Final Action Dates for filing in May 2017, as has been the case for several months.  Applicants should check the USCIS website in the next few days.
